Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours)

Graduates of the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) degree will have coherent and advanced knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of research, including knowledge of research principles and methods, as well as the ability to critically identify, analyse, synthesise and apply different sources of data to inform business decision making. In addition, they will have specialist technical knowledge in at least one field of business, commerce, international business or Asian studies.

Award requirements

Your program requirements are the set of academic requirements that are mandatory for the award associated with your program of study. If you do not adhere to your degree requirements, you may not be eligible to graduate.

For the award of Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) [BAdvancedBus(Hons)], you must successfully

Complete 320 credit points comprising:

• 180 credit points for all Core Module, and
• 60 credit points for all Major Module, and
• 80 credit points for Flexible Module

You must also ensure that

• Selected courses must include at most 120 credit points at level 1.
• Selected courses must include at least 60 credit points at level 3 or higher.

Honours Component

Classification of Honours

This degree with Honours may be awarded in the following classes:

• Class I Honours
• Class IIA Honours
• Class IIB Honours
• Class III Honours

The class of Honours to be awarded to each student in this degree will be determined on the basis of the GPA achieved for the 80 credit points of nominated courses and a minimum percentage for the Dissertation as outlined in the Dissertation Management Procedure.

English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:

• A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
• OR an overall score of 79 in the internet-based (iBT) TOEFL with no sub-score less than 19 (applies to tests taken prior to 21 January 2026)
• OR an overall score of 4 in the internet-based (iBT) TOEFL with a minimum score of 4 in each of the listening, reading, and writing skills, and a minimum score of 3.5 in speaking skills (applies to tests taken on or after 21 January 2026)
• OR no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
• OR a minimum overall score of 176 (no score less than 169) on Cambridge C1 Advanced or Cambridge C2 Proficiency
• OR an overall score of 58 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 50 (applies to tests taken prior to 7 August 2025)
• OR an overall score of 55 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with no score less than 47 (applies to tests taken on or after 7 August 2025)
