Writer Author
Writers come up with, plan, and write novels, stories, plays, poems, articles, and other creative written works. They are responsible for the content of their works and sometimes findings outlets for publishing. There is also a heavy amount of editing and polishing involved in this profession.
Duties and tasks
- Appearing in public to sign and/or promote latest works
- At times, finding places to publish works
- At times, teaching creative writing courses
- Editing said works for clarity, cohesiveness, and quality
- Formulating ideas for creative works
- Outlining and planning the broad outlines of works
- Writing drafts of stories, plays, novels, etc

Working conditions
Many writers work from home or in private establishments like bars or coffee shops, wherever inspiration can be found. At times, they may work in office settings alongside other writers and editors. They also may teach in high schools, colleges, or universities.
