About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

This subject covers a range of legal topics relating to the business environment. It combines topics that are necessary for a consideration of business and corporate law including: an introduction to legal systems; contract law principles (including breaches and disputes);varied business structures, the law of agency, competition and consumer law; and basic corporate law and governance principles. The subject teaches students how to work through commercial disputes by identifying and addressing the relevant legal issues. These are essential skills for those wishing to work in both the fields of accounting and business management.
