Applied Nursing Management Strategies
About this subject
1. Demonstrate knowledge of rostering, service delivery and work organisation and their interrelationships through the creation of a professional portfolio;
2. Create a budget and explain and apply the nursing and midwifery frontline leader’s role in relation to financial management.
3. Critically evaluate the rationales for human physical, material and clinical resources management and its relationship to the delivery of safe, effective and relevant patient care;
4. Develop a business plan in relation to the area of practice that includes planning for management of physical and material resources.
- Management of human, material and clinical resources; human and material resource management, models of care; Nursing leadership and management; innovation and change in L&M; strategic and business planning.
This course enhances students’ understanding of key management concepts including management of human, material and clinical resources and its integral relationship to the delivery of safe, effective and relevant patient care. Topics such as human and material resource management, models of care and other management strategies such as developing a business plan are included in this course.
