This subject facilitates student involvement in a structured Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement related to their studies under the guidance of an academic supervisor. Students will couple their practical experience with critical reflection on industry practice and standards relevant to their degree and majors.
The assessment for this subject is designed to couple students’ practical experience with critical reflection on industry practice and standards.
- Placement Expression of Interest and resume (20%)
- Professional portfolio presentation and supervisor feedback (project driven) (30%)
- Job application and introspective critique (50%)

Additional requirements
- Placement requirements - Face-to-face attendance is required, but a Griffith placement officer will work with the student to find an internship with a local organisation. It's possible this local organisation might enable the student to undertake some, most or even all the internship remotely.
Study load
- 0.125 EFTSL
- This is in the range of 10 to 12 hours of study each week.
Equivalent full time study load (EFTSL) is one way to calculate your study load. One (1.0) EFTSL is equivalent to a full-time study load for one year.
