Advance your strength and conditioning coaching skills and strategies for working in high-performance settings and select your own courses to tailor your career path, within the Graduate Certificate of Strength and Conditioning.
- Select and critically apply an evidence-based approach to strength and conditioning concepts, research and perspectives associated with current practice in high performance settings.
- Critically analyse and synthesise relevant strength and conditioning principles and concepts, scientific literature, research methodology, problems and theories, and apply this knowledge to advance training in athletic populations in a safe and effective manner.
- Demonstrate effective application of a range of professional skills when interacting with culturally and linguistically diverse athletic populations and professionals including behaving and communicating in an ethical, respectful and culturally safe manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

This is the ideal qualification for sport and exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, or related graduates interested in advancing their career with strength and conditioning practices. Learn from world-leading, international strength and conditioning coaches and researchers who work with national teams leading up to Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and World Championships, as well as Olympic medallists. Further study pathway includes the Graduate Diploma of Strength and Conditioning.

Award requirements

Entry requirements
Completion of an Australian university three-year or four-year bachelor degree in the area of sport and exercise science, or equivalent, with a minimum GPA > 4.5;
OR
Completion of an Australian university three-year or four-year bachelor degree in a relevant health-related discipline with a minimum GPA > 4.5;
OR
Completion of a Graduate Certificate in sport and exercise science, or relevant health-related discipline with a minimum GPA > 4.5.
All students are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. For entry to the Graduate Certificate of Sport and Exercise program, applicants are required to meet the Category 4 English Language Proficiency requirements.
Exemptions/credit will be assessed based on the USQ Credit and Exemption Procedure.
Study method requirements
Students are required to attend mandatory residential schools on the Ipswich campus if they complete any of the following enrolled courses.
