Taking a design-thinking approach to analyse educational issues and opportunities, this course includes a solid foundation in the research of inclusion, leadership and social justice, empowering you to enact change in program, policy and project design. Through case study analysis and research, the interdisciplinary course helps you become a collaborative thinker and problem-solver in the field. As well as a standalone qualification, this course acts as a pathway into the Graduate Diploma and Master of Education.

Award requirements

To graduate with this qualification, a student must satisfactorily complete 4 core subjects (10 credit points each) for a combined course total of 40 credit points. The Graduate Certificate of Education would normally be undertaken over 2 trimesters.

Torrens University Australia offers flexible entry options and study pathways, whether you’re finishing school, pursuing career progression or looking for a change.

Entry requirements for this course include:

• AQF Level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above from an Australia University ;OR
• An equivalent overseas higher education qualification ;OR 
• Combination of formal (below AQF7) or non-formal qualifications and three yeas of relevant professional experience includes those who are currently working in education-related fields and teachers holding alternative qualifications.
