What you'll learn

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Plan and execute substantial digital media projects, including visual and audio design elements, motion graphics and animation, for a range of professional contexts;  

  2. Propose and critique processes for accessible digital media transformation;  

  3. Analyse and interpret a range of data sources to assess and critically review digital media projects and their context;  

  4. Apply digital media industry project management processes with a high level of personal autonomy and accountability;  

  5. Advocate and adjudicate solutions for working collaboratively and sustainably with others in inclusive and diverse environments, as a leader or a team, to implement co-design and co-creation tools;  

  6. Communicate the potential and shortcomings of technology to justify and interpret practical and theoretical propositions, methodologies, accessibility, conclusions and professional decisions to a range of audiences.

Career opportunities

Proposed careers may include positions as digital media producer, UX (user experience) practitioner, digital marketing manager, e-learning designer, and digital media strategist.


Entry requirements

Higher education

Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline.

Work and Life

Applicants with a minimum five (5) years approved work experience will be considered for admission to this course.

If you have completed study with another university or institution and believe you are eligible to receive credit for skills and past study, you can apply for credit (advanced standing).

You'll explore the potential of digital media to assist you in your goals with the Graduate Certificate in Digital Content Creation at Victoria University.

In this course, you will learn about new and established forms of technology and the potential of using these to achieve results. You'll draw on your experience to adopt management processes such as Scrum, consider design-thinking and develop a user experience design (UX) portfolio.
