Diploma of Cybersecurity

During this course you will:

1. Examine the design and operations of modern computer systems, databases and networks.
2. Learn the fundamentals of preventative cybersecurity principles, programs and practices.
3. Understand cybersecurity requirements in designing innovative ICT solutions.
4. Apply cybersecurity principles in developing secure ICT solutions.
5. Learn to develop and present verified and validated software solutions for cybercrime prevention.
6. Learn to consider professional obligations, ethics and social responsibilities in line with ICT industry standards.

The course will develop your IT skills, with subjects including programming, data and networking, cloud computing, software engineering and cybersecurity principles. Our human-centric design focus makes this course unique and, upon graduating, you’ll possess the ability to apply cybersecurity principles towards developing ICT solutions that consider ethical and social responsibilities.

The course structure comprises 8 core subjects over level 100, as follows: Level 100: 8 mandatory core subjects (total of 80 credit points) No elective subject is offered.

• Successful completion of a Higher Education qualification.
