Make structures safe

As a structural engineer you could design, consult or assess structures ‒ from buildings and bridges to tunnels and roadways ‒ to ensure they are safe, efficient and fit for purpose.

Keep water safe and clean

Understanding the mechanics and chemistry of water in both built and natural environment to help provide clean water, dispose of waste water and mitigate the damaging effects of floods.

Ensure strong foundations

Specialise in geotechnical engineering and investigate, evaluate and design the interactions between manmade structures and the geology that supports them.

Professional recognition

Engineers Australia is the accrediting body. Provisional accreditation is being sought in 2022, the first year in which the course is offered. Full accreditation requires five graduates from the course and as such cannot take place until after the first cohort have completed their studies.
