  • Learn how to manage financial information and prepare financial reports
  • Build a strong foundation in business law and ethics, financial accounting, company accounting, management accounting, taxation law and auditing
  • Get 96 hours of hands-on accounting experience through an optional professional internship or placement organised by USC

Professional recognition

This program is fully accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Institute of Public Accountants, and has been designed to qualify graduates for associate membership of these professional bodies.

Secondary education

  • Applicants must meet the minimum ATAR/Rank: 51.00
  • Recommended prior study: English; General Maths, Maths Methods or Specialist Maths

Work and Life

You may be eligible for a selection rank, which can help you get into university, If you:

  • have completed Year 12 (no matter how long ago)
  • have a TAFE/VET qualification
  • have relevant work experience, or
  • have studied at university before (even if you didn’t complete your studies)

Elective courses (8) 96 units Select 8 elective courses (96 units) from the undergraduate elective course options. Of these electives 3 (36 units) must be developing or graduate level (200/300 coded) courses.

Each study period, you have the choice to switch between full-time and part-time study. Full-time study is enrolling in three or more courses per study period, while part-time study is one or two courses per study period.
