This unit will increase your capability to analyse a business strategy. You will investigate the strategic management process and apply tools and techniques of strategic analysis, strategy formulation and implementation. The unit will examine business, corporate and network level strategy and you will prepare a business plan with careful consideration to the management of resources.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate executive leadership through understanding the principles of strategy formation and evaluation
  2. develop and implement a strategic plan
  3. demonstrate professional knowledge synthesis through conducting and participating in negotiations, and using the English language with care and accuracy
  4. display a contemporary global perspective in the development of an understanding of how to position your organisation to secure a competitive advantage
  5. negotiate complexity in implementing change strategies
  6. supplement your practical experience by understanding and considering the implication of critical factors in developing effective business strategies
  7. prepare and implement a business strategy
  8. apply analytical tools and techniques to strategic decision making
  9. clearly communicate strategic decisions to your peers.
