About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Critically examine a range of therapeutic modalities used in the management of mental health problems and addiction treatment.
    2. Critique the core principles and theories of psychological treatments.
    3. Plan interventions incorporating a therapeutic modality relevant to individual presentations in diverse settings.
    4. Critically analyse the contemporary role of the health professional as a therapist.

  • TAS-ADS-GCE-2024 - Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies for Health Professionals

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements - Teaching Arrangement: Individual Study – This subject is offered fully online via MyLO (My Learning Online). You are expected to devote around 10 hours per week to the study materials, assessment tasks and self-directed learning.
