About this subject
By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Explore experience design techniques used to inform, categorise and predict user behavior and interaction.
- Consider the role of interdisciplinary/cross-functional collaboration in the development of interactive experiences.
- Employ a user-centred design framework to define user experience problems.
- Develop and deliver interactive experience solutions underpinned by user-centred design methodology.
- Select and apply validation and testing methods to assess audience interaction with a user interface design.
- A guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
This subject introduces students to the fundamentals of user experience design by introducing research methods to identify and explore user needs in contemporary digital applications. Students will first define the user experience problem and hypothesise on solutions before analysing and addressing audience and content requirements. Students will work through concept development, prototyping, validation and testing phases to create and refine user- centered design solutions for interactive media.
