About this subject
By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Analyse front-end user interface and interaction requirements in computer-driven applications.
- Identify and describe technical specifications for front-end user interfaces in consideration of the business requirements.
- Develop software-enabled interfaces using visual elements and interactive components for ICT applications.
- Validate interaction and responsiveness of a front-end user interface that considers contemporary UX and UI practices.
- Report on a UX design proposal, process and outcomes for ICT applications.
- A guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
This subject introduces students to fundamental concepts in user experience (UX) design, which include information gathering and user requirements analysis, prototype design and development, usability testing and validation. Students engage with essential front-end design and development concepts and develop software-enabled interfaces using visual elements and interactive components. In addition, students will examine the principles of human interaction and responsiveness with computer-driven systems and the user interface design for a variety of media in emerging Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications.
