About this subject
By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Develop pre-production materials in response to a client brief.
- Design and record an audio-visual production based on the foundation of pre-production material.
- Creatively design a video edit sequence using post- production workflows, including colour grading and sound design.
- Develop a motion title sequence with text and logo within a video edit sequence.
- Employ advanced cinematic and creative techniques within video production and post- production.
- A guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
This subject focuses on the foundational skills required for video production in a commercial context. The workflow of developing video media for screen is introduced, along with each stage of the video production process. Students are tasked with developing a variety of creative responses to commercial briefs within different genres. The subject explores the necessary skills in camera-based production, the fundamentals of lighting, sound design and video editing. Students are also introduced to fundamental title sequences in the post-production phase.
