About this subject
By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Apply lean principles and techniques, to develop a business idea.
- Critically analyse options for investment and develop a business investment proposal.
- Test and assess business concept, including risk management strategies, for market viability with stakeholders to reach Go/No Go point.
- Develop revised business concept (reworking if necessary) ready to pitch to potential investors.
- Communicate your business plan/proposal effectively and persuasively to stakeholders and potential investors.
- A guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
Lean Start-up is a new, field-tested approach that provides students with the skills to minimise the chances of business failure and increase the chances of success. You will learn how to apply lean principles and techniques such as minimum viable product, pivoting, actionable metrics, innovation accounting, business model canvas and lean canvas. Through this subject, you will develop and test your business concept and develop your business plan ready to pitch to potential investors.
