About this subject

  • By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:

    1. Explain the biological function of micronutrients in human health across the lifespan. 
    2. Analyse and interpret physiological and contextual factors contributing to micronutrient insufficiency, deficiency or excess as guided by the Nutrient Reference Values (NRVs).
    3. Assess and describe nutrient requirements across the lifespan, during physical activity and within diverse populations to inform evidence-based nutritional strategies.
