About this subject
By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary environment to design and develop a simple, feature complete game.
- Identify and iterate on key mechanics and systems to transform game concepts into playable prototypes.
- Plan and manage collaborative projects using agile methodologies and related tools focusing on coordination, adaptability and iterative development practices.
- Iteratively implement audiovisual feedback to enhance user experience and accessibility.
- Analyse and implement ethical promotional practices in the creation of online marketing materials for game projects.

Utilising game development techniques and tools, students will create their own games, undertaking design, asset creation, coding, project management, and promotional duties in a simulated studio environment. In so doing students are given valuable practical experience with familiar tools and techniques while developing the soft skills underpinning successful professional collaboration.
