About this subject

  • By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:

    1. Critically analyse and evaluate appropriate evidence-based supports for autistic individuals.
    2. Design and apply best-practice contemporary strategies for supporting learning, social and sensory profiles of autistic individuals.
    3. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the autistic community to provide evidence-based support.
    4. Apply a person-centred approach to support autistic individuals and their community in multiple settings.
    5. Analyse contemporary societies’ understanding and support for autistic individuals and their community, including stigma and bias.
    6. Apply research, synthesis, analytical and communication skills in the area of autism.
