About this subject

  • On successful completion of the subject you should be able to:

    1. Apply the concepts of quality, safety and risk management in health care
    2. Explain the impact of systems and human interactions on the likelihood of errors and adverse events
    3. Use reflective learning to identify and manage clinical risk, investigate errors, and utilise data to improve patient safety
    4. Apply current evidence to examine the opportunities for consumers to contribute to safety and quality in healthcare
    5. Demonstrate the application of methods and tools that can be used to measure and improve quality of care in evidence-based practice
