This subject allows students to extend their formal academic learning beyond the classroom. Students complete a minimum of 80 hours of work placement combined with academic activities that require reflection on self-efficacy, skill application and skill development. Subject to approval from the University, placements can be undertaken within an organisation, remotely, or as a virtual experience. This subject provides students with opportunities to apply and adapt their skills from a Health discipline to a real-world environment and network with employers. It brings together the expertise of industry partners and La Trobe University staff for the benefit of students' professional development.

- Mid Placement Review (1000 words equivalent) (20%)
- Skills assessment and development plan (1250 words equivalent) (30%)
