This course is designed for people who want to grow their place in the creative and cultural sector, connect with new audiences and understand how creative work moves through a digital world.
You’ll explore areas such as marketing, user experience, conservation, entrepreneurship, digital leadership and finance for creative business, with room to shape your study around your goals.
Learn from people actively shaping the creative and cultural industries through guest lectures, practical case studies and industry-connected teaching. You’ll build professional networks, engage with current industry trends and strengthen your ability to respond to change with confidence.
You’ll also explore Indigenous knowledge and its role in shaping creative practice, helping you understand creativity through a broader cultural lens.
Graduate ready to take your next step across roles such as exhibition producer, campaign manager, creative director, communications strategist or entrepreneur. As part of a nested program, this course can also lead into UC’s Master of Creative Industries.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent as approved by the University Admissions.
If you do not have an undergraduate degree, see the Alternative Entry options or speak to our friendly Future Students team.
You may be eligible for entry to this Graduate Diploma based on your professional experience. Please speak to the Future Students team to discuss if this is applicable to you.
Students who have completed one of the following Graduate Certificates at UC may apply, and receive credit for the units completed under the Graduate Certificate:
- Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries,
- Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing
- Graduate Certificate in Heritage Materials Conservation
- Graduate Certificate in Creative Business
- Graduate Certificate in Creative Leadership
- Graduate Certificate in Design.
(note: only credit for one Graduate Certificate can be applied)
The following Defence members are eligible for direct entry into this course through the Veteran Tertiary Support Program - Postgraduate Course Entry:
- Commissioned Officer (any rank),
- Chaplain or Maritime Spiritual Wellbeing Officer,
- Senior Non-Commissioned Defence Force Members (E-6 or higher),
- Defence Force Members - Other Ranks (E-2 to E-5) with three or more years' experience.
