To be eligible to receive the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health, students must complete the equivalent of 4 units (48 credit points).

Applicants may be considered if they have completed:

• an Australian Bachelor's degree (AQF 7) or higher; OR 
• a Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health plus at least 1 year of relevant professional experience; OR have 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Relevant experience includes roles across medical, nursing and allied health fields, including social work, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, counselling, exercise science, physiotherapy, speech therapy and mental health/disability support. 

SCU may grant credit for previous education, qualifications and/or work experience through advanced standing. Eligible credit can reduce the number of units required, overall study duration and course cost. 

Studying online requires:

• A fast, reliable internet connection 
• The latest version of Chrome or Firefox.
