This subject in calculus provides a solid foundation in the theory and applications of differential and integral calculus to a variety of real-world situations. The subject begins with some preliminary material that reviews the concept of a function and of basic problem-solving techniques and includes limits, differentiation, graph sketching, integration and inverse functions. Apart from imparting technical knowledge on rules of integration and differentiation, the subject requires students to solve conceptual problems, thus enhancing their understanding of the principles of calculus.
