Car Park Attendant
Car Park Attendants manage car parking structures and outdoor parking areas. They ensure the security of cars parked from theft or vandalism, collect fees required by private or public entities and park or help locate automobiles.
Duties and tasks
- Assist customers in locating cars when necessary
- Collect required fees necessary to access car parking facilities, possibly keeping track of cash flow and car count
- Direct motorists to parking areas and available spaces
- Greet customers and may open car doors if driving
- Operate gates, chains or fences at entrance and exit points
- Park or move cars in an orderly fashion to maximize the space of the parking facility
- Safeguard and patrol cars parked within parking areas from car and property theft or vandalism from the time of entry until departure
