Greenkeeper
Greenkeepers work with real grass, artificial turf, and other synthetic substances. They usually work in sporting facilities and arenas.
Duties and tasks
- Installing and maintaining synthetic surfaces
- Operating machinery such as lawnmowers, cultivators, and line marking equipment
- Planting seeds for grass
- Preparing sites for the implementation of turf
- Repairing damage to turf, grass, and other surfaces
- Rolling and levelling turf; mowing grass
Skills required
- Ability to measure and cut necessary dimensions
- Fit and strong

- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organisation
Working conditions
