About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Advise clients on fundamental principles and practical applications of the Australian taxation system.
    2. Communicate taxation advice effectively in both written and oral formats.
    3. Apply investigative research skills to complex taxation issues and prepare well-structured research memoranda or presentations.
    4. Reflect on professional conduct, empathy, and client engagement in a clinical setting.

Enrolment in this subject is subject to satisfactory performance in your Masters degree in Taxation Law or permission from the Course Coordinator. As the application process is competitive, there are no guarantees that all applicants will obtain a placement.

  • Placement requirements - You will undertake an internship with the UTas Tax Clinic in Hobart or Launceston
