About this subject
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

This subject focuses on the practical development of interventions and strategies to reduce the major risk factors for the major non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart and lung diseases, cancers and diabetes, including tobacco use, physical inactivity, unhealthy diet and the harmful use of alcohol, and aligns with the World Health Organisations NCD agenda. Students will critically and systematically explore determinants of risk factors and disease outcomes, intervention options (including policy) and effectiveness evidence, health system and institutional capacity and responses at a national and global level.
