About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Critically explore the holistic impact of dementia on people living with the condition and families/supporters
    2. Critically analyse therapeutic options for people living with dementia at different stages of the condition
    3. Investigate interpersonal, social and environmental factors which impact on the quality of life and wellbeing of people with dementia in a variety of settings and global contexts
    4. Describe and evaluate the use of holistic assessment processes in the care and support of people living with dementia
    5. Critically analyse a range of strategies aimed at fostering enabling communities and maintaining civic engagement for people living with dementia

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

  • TAS-DMC-GCE-2024 - Graduate Certificate in Dementia

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements - Teaching arrangement: Online learning - approximately 10 hours per week

Study load
