About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Discuss the structure and functionality of ports in the context of their proper management.
    2. Analyse and adapt management practices to improve operational efficiency.
    3. Apply theoretical and practical knowledge to improve port safety outcomes.
    4. Identify environmental and regulatory issues currently confronting ports and their development.
    5. Evaluate current port operating practices by performing research into the field.
