About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Reflect on and critically analyse the contemporary issues that are shaping the global tourism industry.
    2. Assess the importance of community in engaging with the industry, and the role of the state in shaping global and national tourism policy.
    3. Analyse and evaluate the impact of crises upon tourism and cultural heritage destinations.
    4. Communicate effectively to a diverse audience using written and/or multimedia formats.
