This subject is focused on developing clinical examination and diagnostics knowledge and skills necessary for advanced practice. This subject underpins examination and advanced diagnostics to inform clinical reasoning necessary to differentiate and manage health conditions across a wide range of acuities. The subject promotes a systems-based and structured model for clinical examination and diagnostics used for clinical reasoning and development of evidence-based treatment and management plans. Essential skills are taught including advanced history taking, comprehensive physical examination, and appropriate knowledge for and application of point of care and other diagnostics testing.
