• What you'll learn

  On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  1. Develop a range of illness scripts appropriate to advanced clinical practice.
  2. Evaluate common clinical reasoning models, their strengths and weaknesses and how they inform decision-making in advanced clinical practice.
  3. Justify the clinical reasoning process using appropriate clinical decision-making models, taking account of its limitations.
  4. Critically reflect on own practice against principles of evidence-based practice, considering implications for patient safety, quality of care, patient experience and clinical outcomes.
