By the end of this 12-week subject, you'll be able to:
- Analyse and evaluate the role of illustration in professional practice of design.
- Apply and experiment with illustration techniques.
- Develop an individual approach to the use of illustration and evaluate its suitability to communicate ideas and visual messages in a commercial context.
- A guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
This subject explores the history, techniques, styles, elements and principles of different mediums within illustration. Students will apply visual problem solving, exploration and conceptual skills to develop their own sense of style while creating illustrations that can be used in a commercial context for print, web and animated content.
