About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, you will be able to:

    1. Evaluate the historical and theoretical basis of psychological testing
    2. Remember, understand, and apply statistical procedures to describe the psychometric properties of a test
    3. Generate a psychological test and examine its adequacy using empirical procedures
    4. Evaluate the theoretical and empirical bases of psychological tests used to assess the main domains of cognition and personality
    5. Evaluate the application of psychological tests in a variety of domains of psychological practice (e.g., organisational and clinical contexts)

    Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
