System Analysis and Design
About this subject
- Apply standard techniques to gather system requirements effectively.
- Analyse system requirements and model the system behaviour.
- Create conceptual and concrete models of systems with Object-oriented (OO) techniques.
- Document system analysis and designs using Unified Modelling Language (UML).
- • Compare and contrast software system development strategies.
- • Analyse system requirements and model the system behaviour to document the deliverables.
- • Create conceptual and concrete models of systems with object-oriented (OO) techniques.
- • Document system analysis and designs using unified modelling language (UML).
- • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of OO system analysis and design for developing real world applications.
This subject introduces you to system analysis and design with Object-oriented (OO) modelling techniques for software system engineering. Major topics include introduction to software development process, requirements modelling, domain modelling, behavioural modelling, structural modelling and dynamic modelling. You will learn the use of Unified Modelling Language (UML) for the analysis and design phases of systems. You will gain the ability to apply knowledge of basic science and software engineering fundamentals to software systems analysis and design.
