About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Possess a knowledge of the law as it applies to the regulatory framework, types of companies, the company's relations with outsiders, including its role as a corporate citizen, directors duties, ethics and liabilities, statutory remedies, and corporate insolvency;
    2. Apply your legal knowledge to complex factual situations in order to achieve a reasoned conclusion through oral and written communication. Application of case law and the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) identify relevant legal issues; and
    3. Analyse and evaluate case law relevant to the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) through oral and written communication.
