At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- identify different instructional design models in STEM subjects and critically evaluate them
- develop an instructional program for the subject of choice in STEM
- examine principles of assessment/evaluation and discuss implications for teachers of STEM
- design an evaluation/assessment task to evaluate the effectiveness of the instructional program of STEM
- appraise the designed instruction/assessment program in relation to instructional design models and evaluation principles.

In this subject, students examine different instructional design models and evaluation principles, and apply their understanding of these to develop and analyse instructional programs in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.
