Motion Design Studio
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- develop an appreciation of motion design techniques, processes and possibilities
- acquire knowledge of design practices such as idea generation, storyboarding and planning
- apply relevant principles and processes in the production of motion design
- develop skills in relevant computer software packages
- apply design fundamentals to the creation of motion design

- Storyboards and Colour Keys;

- Post Production.
This subject introduces students to the process of developing creative outcomes through motion design. A large percentage of information we see in our everyday lives is conveyed through moving graphics, particularly in television commercials, television program title sequences, movie special effects and music video clips. This subject focuses on the design process of creating motion design. It aims to provide a foundational understanding of visual and theoretical principles that impact motion graphics. This includes typography, layouts, storyboarding and aesthetics. In the motion design projects, students will learn skills in basic motion graphics and digital production techniques.
