Introduction to English: Reading

About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. demonstrate knowledge of the elements of reading and their symbiotic relationship
    2. examine the social and cognitive processes of reading
    3. appraise theories of the teaching of reading and describe the ways they inform practice
    4. create systematic and explicit teaching and assessment strategies to support the development of reading knowledge and skills for all learners, including EALD and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

  • CUR-PRI-MAS-2022 - Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
  • CUR-MTE-MAS-2022 - Master of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)
