About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. establish and explain how to support and promote diverse children's nutritional needs and the impact of nutrition on health and wellbeing across the early years and the lifespan 
    2. apply high-level discipline knowledge about health, safety and physical development to the holistic development of children
    3. appraise and evaluate motor skills to support a diversity of children with varied growth and development across the early childhood years and to analyse motor performance
    4. apply high-level discipline knowledge, principles and concepts to plan, develop and design motor learning programs to maximise children's motor control and motor learning through movement, exercise and physical activity interventions
