About this degree
At the completion of the degree students will be able to:
- explain, evaluate and reflect upon the legal rules and ethical principles applicable to enterprises and their governance, and reflect upon the consequences of non-compliance
- demonstrate the capacity to fulfil their legal and ethical responsibilities as directors and officers by applying those rules and principles when making decisions, solving problems and managing relations between the enterprise and its stakeholders.
The Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance is a postgraduate program offered by the Faculty of Law. The program is designed for directors and officers as well as for legal professionals with an interest in enterprise governance and leadership. Students enrolled in the program learn about the nature and operation of enterprise governance and the role of the board in leading enterprises in today's challenging business environment – including both for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises – and learn how to govern an enterprise in compliance with the relevant legal rules and ethical principles. All subjects in the program are delivered using a combination of online modules and intensive workshops, and all assessment tasks are constructively aligned and authentic.

Entry requirements
The Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance is open to both law and non-law graduates.
Minimum entry requirements are:
- a Bachelor of Laws; OR
- any Bachelor degree plus five years relevant workplace experience inclusive of two years in a leadership role.
*Intakes for the program are open to start in September each year.
As tuition is delivered in English, students will need to provide documented evidence of the required level English language proficiency as part of your enrolment.
Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamur to the Office of Future Students.
