It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. This subject provides an overview of the concepts of projects, project management and project success. Students will apply systems theory to projects and analyse project management for initiation, planning, controlling and closing for managing scope, human resources, communication and stakeholders.

All projects, programs and portfolios exist within a strategic context. The organisational strategic management process is reviewed. The tools, techniques and process of program and portfolio management processes in terms of benefits management, stakeholder management and governance are explored, evaluated and applied.

This subject provides an overview of the important values, principles and key practices related to adopting and leveraging Agile ways of work to help optimise strategic organisational objectives and delivery projects in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Project Management Dissertation

The application of knowledge, skills and tools learned from other units within the MSc (Project Management) program to a project. This entails the integrative management of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, communication, procurement, human resources and risk. Research skills are used to independently solve problems in an authentic professional environment.

The theories, processes, tools and techniques for the management of the quality of project processes and products. The application of quality planning, assurance and control to projects. The background, principles, and components of global approaches to quality management; and Australian and International standards relating to quality management and project quality management.

This subject explores project procurement; acquisition processes; procurement planning; source selection; procurement documents; tendering and awards and contract administration.The subject also considers the body of law that affects procurement.
