About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

    1. Critically analyse the core concepts, methods and models of clinical supervision used in health and human service contexts.
    2. Design a comprehensive plan for supervision in your work setting that includes the implementation of supervision model(s), your evaluation strategy for this model based on evidence and best practices, and draw on underlying principles, the evidence base and the practices of different professions.
    3. Critically reflect on your workplace role in clinical supervision. Include the leadership challenges and implications of implementing new supervision models in your workplace.

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

Core

  • TAS-APH-GDI-2026 - Graduate Diploma of Advanced Practice (Healthcare Education)
  • TAS-APH-MAS-2026 - Master of Advanced Practice (Healthcare Education)

Additional requirements

  • Other requirements - Teaching Arrangement: Individual Study 8 hours weekly; Independent Learning 2 hours weekly
