About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

    1. Evaluate personal and broader societal factors that impact on the success of change initiatives within health and human service settings including culture, community attitudes, evidence-based practice, quality and safety systems and governance.
    2. Critically analyse change management and change leadership approaches including impacts on system change, uptake of evidence-based practice, and service innovation in health and human services.
    3. Apply appropriate change tools and techniques to plan, implement and evaluate a change initiative in the health and human service sector.
    4. Critically evaluate the leadership implications of change initiatives in health and human services and communicate this effectively in a specific context.
