About this subject
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- Use project management processes and methodologies to design and develop a technical system that supports the needs of a client and adheres to professional standards.
- Apply a user-centred approach to system design and development while collaborating and communicating with stakeholders.
- Perform as a contributing member of a team using codes of conduct to guide initiative and self-directed learning and practice.

The capstone project subject provides an opportunity for students to consolidate the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their course and apply them to a substantial ICT project. This subject extends students' development of the professional, technical, communication and teamwork skills required by ICT professionals in practice. Students will extend their knowledge and skills in the areas of project management and system development through completing professional project documentation and managing the development of the team project using the agile methodology. Students will have the opportunity to apply their major specific knowledge and skills that they have acquired to an authentic project.
