About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Critically evaluate international clinical documentation improvement (CDI) theory, principles and practice to enhance the delivery and management of healthcare in Australia
    2. Evaluate standards and governance in relation to CDI in Australia and international settings, and apply strategies to ensure compliance in Australia
    3. Create a CDI program for a health organisation
    4. Recommend evaluation methods to monitor a CDI program in a health care organisation
    5. Articulate the ethical, legal and political issues involved in applying CDI in an Australian healthcare setting
