Introductory Client Centred Casework

About this subject

  • Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. describe values of effective individual and community services work in the context of the individual case worker, community stakeholders and client;
    2. describe the legal, theoretical and ethical considerations relevant to client centered care in the community services sector;
    3. demonstrate understanding of cultural diversity and sociocultural awareness as these apply to client centered practice and casework; and
    4. assess and respond to a range of client needs and strengths characteristically encountered as a community services case worker using a client centered approach.
