About this subject

  • Skills (these are skills that you should begin to be developing through taking this degree and applying it to your own evaluation experience):

    1. the development of skills in evidence-based evaluation of policy and program management
    2. an ability to identify the stakeholders of an evaluation and to consider how they might be involved
    3. to assess the quality of evaluation practice
    4. a reflective knowledge of and use of the professionalism of an independent evaluator
    5. an ability to think carefully about the ethical issues that arise in any particular evaluation, and to understand what it means to attend to them with care and integrity
    6. an ability to integrate the political, ethical, methodological and analytical demands of an evaluation.
